QualTel offers its customers a suite of
products and services that will enable QualTel customers to
compete effectively in the enhanced services marketplace.
Products are software-only components that system
developers, such as enhanced services providers, systems
integrators, or OEMs, can use as core building blocks on which to
build enhanced services applications.
Software Products
MessageNet
The base product, MessageNet, is a open-systems software
messaging engine product. The features and functionality are
enabled by Integrated Building Blocks (MessageNet IBB modules),
these IBB's are independently created to enable the support of
IP-based (Internet or managed IP service) and PSTN-based (AIN, IN,
SS7, land or mobile networks) communications messaging solutions,
also many different types of applications / services. A
fundamental element of MessageNet is a distributed computing
architecture that enables software components distributed across
multiple platforms to function as a single, integrated system. It
allows services provider's virtually unlimited flexibility in
designing and deploying the physical and logical components of an
enhanced services system. It also is extraordinarily scalable and
has been deployed in systems ranging from single-rack, 48-port
systems to massive nationwide systems supporting over 10 million
subscribers from dozens of interconnected nodes. See MessageNet

module can be marketed and delivered today for use on SPARC.
MessageNet
II
MessageNet II is the base product with the addition of more
IBB's and is planned to be available in early 2002. This will
allow the MessageNet functionality to be executed on Intel-based
hardware and expand the product functionality to include full
Internet-enabled multimedia messaging.
Consulting Services
The foundation for the development of the business is the
messaging software and service support that is offered to users of
the MessageNet product by a skilled group of engineering
professionals. The ever-growing complexity of communications
technologies has generated a need for the expertise that QualTel
has assembled in its team. Custom software products and services a
core offering of the business. QualTel consulting group is to
assist clients to define, develop and/or build their custom system
for their proposed solution.
